The High Court has ruled that Universal Credit regulations that have left disabled people worse off are unlawful.

Up till now, severely disabled people who are moved from ESA to Universal Credit have lost money  as a result. Compensation payments were previously ruled to be necessary, but the DWP had limited & capped this compensation, so that many severely disabled people were still affected by a significant reduction in income.  In some cases, this has left people facing a major income drop of over £60 per week.
