We commissioned an independent evaluation of our Big Lottery funded advice project which ran from 2013 to 2017
The summary report can be read here.
Many clients spoke of suicide, hopelessness and feeling ashamed of their situation prior to receiving support from the Lottery Project. 84% reported that after advice and support their health and wellbeing had improved.
The project has made a real different to people’s lives, enabling them to get back on their feet and build resilience by giving them more choice and control in their lives. This is in large part due to the financial benefits but also the feeling of being listened to, supported, that there is someone fighting their corner and that they are not alone with their problems.
