A few changes have taken place at Money Advice Plus recently to make the coming year a time of development and regeneration.

Sadly, Peter Hilditch, our long standing Chair of trustees resigned at our recent AGM.  Having been a trustee since 2006 and Chair since 2010, he has overseen major changes in the organisation, not least the merger of MACS and MAPs in 2013, creating Money Advice Plus.  We’re extremely grateful to Peter for his amazing work. A massive thank you for everything you have contributed to the organisation Peter, and we wish you boundless success and luck in your new endeavours.

However, we welcome the winds of change as they have blessed us with Nikky Myers, who is pictured below, as our new Chair.

A trustee since 2015, Nikky has been involved in different aspects of our work, steering the search for new accommodation for the Brighton & Hove office, with the end result of our moving into especially refurbished space in Hove Town Hall.  Nikky has a corporate background, but is currently taking sabbatical leave from paid work, allowing her to focus on Money Advice Plus.  She is excited to work with the team, ensuring that we remain strong, flexible, and able to provide quality services to our clients and funders.

Also joining us as new trustees are Jonathan Hyndman and Andrew Berry. Jonathan has a background in Housing Association finances, and Andrew in Environmental Health and project planning.  They are both welcome additions to the board, adding extra strength and breadth to the combined experience, knowledge and skills offered to the organisation.

Nikky said she would like to thank Peter for his guidance and mentoring, “I have big shoes to fill and will miss him. However, I am excited and extremely privileged to work with such a talented and dedicated team and Board to  advance this valuable service we provide to our community and beyond”.
